MEMBERSHIP
We are a popular society and sometimes there is a waiting list for membership. If you are interested in joining, please contact chairman Peter Golding using the form in the Contact section; it’s not possible just to turn up on the night. Prospective members are invited to attend their first meeting paying just the tasting fee, to try out the society before deciding whether to join.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BRING
You will need to bring your own wine glasses. We recommend a set of eight to allow you to compare wines or go back later in the evening to see how wines in the glass change over time.
Any wine glasses will do, but to get the most out of the tastings we recommend buying ISO 215ml tasting glasses, which are designed for the job. These are widely available online from a variety of suppliers and sometimes from branches of wine merchants for around £20 for a set of six.
COST
There is an annual subscription of £24 a year and a tasting fee of £15 each month.
